Transfer from Guwahati airport/railway station to Shillong en-route visit Umium Lake. Shillong became the first capital of the State of Meghalaya. Located in undulating pine covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India. The city centre is 1496m above sea level and currently has a population of around 270,000. Home to several waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East. The British legacy is still visible in the architecture and food habits of the population. Overnight in Shillong.

About This Tour
Dawki:Dawki is a scenic border town in the West Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya, India, primarily famous for the Umngot River, often called the "cleanest river in India". Its glass-clear, emerald-green waters are so transparent that boats often appear to be floating in mid-air. This Village also forms the border of India and Bangladesh.
Mawllong Village: This Village is located in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills, is renowned as "Asia’s Cleanest Village" (declared in 2003) and "God's Own Garden". It is a premier eco-tourism destination featuring pristine streets, bamboo dustbins, plastic bans, and 100% literacy, with a population of 565 across 120 families.
Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary:Kaziranga National Park is a world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the state of Assam, India. Famous as the primary home of the Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros, it hosts approximately two-thirds of the world's population of this species. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, the park is a diverse ecosystem of tall "elephant grass," marshland, and dense tropical forests.
Cherrapunji:Cherrapunji (locally known as Sohra) is a town in Meghalaya, India, renowned as one of the wettest places on Earth, situated at 4,690 ft in the East Khasi Hills.
